Once again TAQ has demonstrated its role as a responsible national organization by selecting 'Pakistan and Climate Change' as the theme of its 2023 Calendar portfolio.
An excerpt taken from the title-page writeup adequately highlights the significance of the subject when it states, “Despite the fact that our carbon emissions are less than one per cent on global basis, we are among the top ten countries most threatened by the climate change. If steps are not taken for effective defence to conserve nature and ensure its sustainability, the adverse effects of climate change can give a setback to our aspirations for the desired economic growth and joys of life.”
Besides encapsulating visually the theme on the title page, the date sheets of the calendar further carry alluring images, emphasizing on the need to tackle this climate change phenomenon on war footing. Through this medium of annual promotion an effort has also been made to give a message to everyone to perform one's part in conserving the environment as concerned and res- ponsible citizens.
It may be pointed out that in areas related to environment TAQ has always performed its role with a sense of national duty such as anti-smoking campaign, pollution control, fight against cancer, aids prevention, preservation of ecology, emancipation of women, eradication of beggary, conservation of national heritage and human rights issues etc.
Like the previous years, the TAQ 2023 calendar portfolio consists of a wall and desk versions. As Pakistan's leading supply chain service provider TAQ has a tradition of producing relevant thematic calendars on subjects of national interest. In 2018 the theme of TAQ's calendar was “One Belt, One Road – Contributing to Prosperity for All” and in 2017 the subject was “Pakistan – China Friendship”. On both counts official acknowledgement was given by high officials of both Pakistan and China for highlighting CPEC and OBOR as the theme of its 2017 and 2018 calendars respectively.
