2nd and 3rd donations of TAQ flood relief efforts

Maintaining the consistency of helping its countrymen at the crucial time of need 'The TAQ Organization' delivered the second and third installments of urgently required donations for the flood affected people to the Army authorities on November 15 and 18, 2022 at their relief camp set up at Fortress Stadium, Lahore.

Following the first donation of shelter tents and their accessories for severely affected people of Balochistan that was timely delivered on September 6, 2022, the second consignment consisted of a truckload of double and single-bed warm woollen quilts along with pillows. On hand to manage and deliver this consignment were TAQ Flood Relief Committee members GM HR Maria Zahid, Senior Manager Commercial Aamir Ismail, Corporate Development Manager F. U. Sabir and Executive Secretary to the Chairman Zahid Munir.

The third consignment of food bags, each containing thirteen basic grocery items of daily use, was delivered in a pick-up van by General Assistant Ahmed Baig.

For the second and third donations the major contribution to the fund came from TTO Director Asad Tariq. Other notable personal participants to this fund were a number of individuals of TTO and its allied companies based at different stations.

It may be recalled that the 'TAQ Flood Relief Committee' and 'TAQ Flood Relief Fund' were created on the same pattern as was done in the past when the country was affected by calamities like floods and earthquakes.

Commenting on the items selected for the second and third donations the Fund Manager Zahid Munir said, “The TAQ Flood Relief Committee was of the unanimous opinion to donate warm woollen quilts in view of the onslaught of harsh cold winter climate and urgently required food for the flood affected people who were stranded in the surrounding water.”
